I decided to run for City Council after discussing Memphis's future with my friends, family, colleagues and neighbors. I believe in a better tomorrow, not just ten months from now but ten years from now. We should build on our successes and eliminate the corruption that disrupts our efforts to become a better Memphis.

Local government should be interested in one thing: what is best for Memphians, each of us, all 680,000 of us. I am listening to your thoughts on Memphis's future - knocking on your doors, meeting you in coffee shops and coming to your neighborhood association meetings. I share your concerns about crime, every level of education, and the strengthening of our neighborhoods. I want what is best for Memphis, as I know you do.
